I photographed the precious and simple wedding for these beautiful souls in Point Blank, TX and it was nothing short of a perfect day. I usually photograph outdoor weddings but it was a nice change of scenery!
A few words from the bride
“Taylor and I started our love story on the internet of all places, Instagram to be exact. It may seem a little cliché, but that internet love story, turned into me meeting my soul mate and love of my life. I took a leap of faith by liking one his pictures that came across my news feed, and that’s where it all began. He immediately messaged me asking if I would be interested in texting. That very next day we met up at the movie theatre in Huntsville, Tx. I still remember everything about that night; what we were wearing, what we watched (James Bond 😒), and the fact that he was too shy to even hold my hand. I honestly did not even think he would talk to me again since we only said about 4 words the entire night!! However, to my surprise he did. By that weekend, we upgraded to “boyfriend” and “girlfriend.” Fast forward a month later, as we were sitting in the car waiting to walk into his family’s Christmas, he said “I love you” for the first time. I let it sink in a few seconds to cherish what he just said to me, and with a smile on my face I said “I love you” back to him. We took things a little quicker than normal couples. We moved in with each other after only a month of dating and were already planning on spending the rest of our lives together. People questioned me when we decided to live together after meeting on the internet, and moving so quickly but I was never so sure of anything in my life. Of course, we had our ups and downs like any other couple, but every day I spent with Taylor I fell more in love with him than the day before, and I shortly found out we weren’t like any other couple, we had our own unique love story. After dating for a little over 2 years, he asked me to be his wife. I was so ready, and ecstatic to be married to my best friend. We remained engaged for a little over a year, and on January 19, 2019, I became Mrs. Dakota Martin. I planned the wedding within 6 months. It was stressful to say the least with getting ready to graduate nursing school and taking my nursing state boards on top of planning an entire wedding. However, it was all worth it. I had so much help with my planning, and I would not have been able to do it without my mother and sister. I was so nervous about everything working out, but on the day of the wedding I finally got to witness everything fall into place. That night was absolutely perfect. There was not one thing I would change. I only wish I could rewind and relive that night one more time.“
